Neum
Neum is a city, tourist place,
and the only municipality at the seaside in B&H. It
is placed in the Neum Klek Bay which is about 6km long,
1.2 km wide and the area is about 8 km2. Neum is sheltered
from the open sea, and it makes it much warmer.
The Adriatic Highway goes through Neum and connects it
to Split, Dubrovnik and to the whole Adriatic coast. Besides
that, the electrified railway track passes through the
Neretva Valley from the direction of Sarajevo and Mostar
to Ploče. Neum has been developed in the former agricultural
and fishing area. Its Riviera is about 9 km long, and thanks
to the well-indented coast, that length is 23.6 km. The
intensive progress happened in the middle of the 1950s,
when workers leisure centers were started to build. The
intensive building of the tourist accommodation units was
followed by the other attractions – from the infrastructure
to the non-board offer. |

The investment started in February, 2007, on the location of 5, 300 m2, and there are built seven buildings with garage places for all accommodation units. On 7 August, 2008, an area of 1, 400 m2 was bought, and the plan is to build three more accommodation units connected to the existing units and garage space.
The high quality materials such
as thermal roofing-tile, Italian ceramics, high quality facade
were used during construction. Every building has elevators
connected to the underground garage, and every flat or balcony
has the view of the sea. |
